Right now, it is very late and dark where I am so your descriptions of the book are truly disturbing to me. Everyone is talking about Soldier Island. "And Then There Were None" is nothing like that and in my opinion the perfect length for a simple murder mystery novel. Aced it! AND THEN THERE WERE NONE is the epitome of everything I want in a novel: unlikeable characters, interesting backstory, a devious undertone, and a mystery that has me stumped beyond belief. This book is a work of exception and adds a feather to an already overflowing cap. I remember reading this book one summer & loving it! Book Length: A common occurrence when reading books considered to be a classic novel is, they can be drawn out and overly descriptive. Find a variety. 18 reviews. I never read it but watched the movie with Angela Lansbury when I was young. This proves the calibre of Agatha Christie as a writer.
