People often confuse earthly or human “love” and spiritual Love. However spiritual love (Prīti) is unconditional, no matter what the circumstances are. This form of love is Divine and only develops after a considerable amount of spiritual practice when one perceives God in everyone. It doesn’t desire that its own virtue and devotion be known, but that the infinite love of God be known. So, one shouldn’t make a tragedy out of it. Unlike spiritual love, which serves others, human, unregenerate love is idolatrous. Human love is a mere shadow or image of the Divine Love. ( 1Co 2:13 ) CATEGORY TWO IMPERSONAL LOVE is toward ALL MANKIND. It creates of itself an end, an idol which it worships, to which it must subject everything. "It hides within these, till one day it cracks them open.") It is focused on an object of love and wants to keep that object. The most fundamental feature of Divine love is that it tends to transcend itself. It is the love we are born with and develop as we grow up. Millions of thrills pass through your heart....If you meditate deeply, a love will come over you such as no human tongue can describe; you will know His divine love, and you will be able to give that pure love to others. It regards itself as nothing, but renders all to God, the source of everything it is. Sometimes these spiritual loves are meant to last, and sometimes they’re meant to merely guide us in the right direction and then leave us to it. The love between the soul and Spirit is the perfect love, the love you are all seeking. Human love expects, even demands, to be received and it demands something in return. So also, we become happier individuals when our love … However, in many of the great spiritual traditions of man, personal love has been downplayed, and even strongly criticized. That said, spiritual love can refer to a love that is rooted in or supported by a deep spiritual connection that helps us find meaning in life. In other words, it has a strong urge to overcome itself, which in turn leads to an equally strong urge for creation.That’s why we say that without Divine love nothing would be created.So many times I’ve experienced this on a small scale in my life.
